Ministry — What About Us

‘The Dark Side of the Spoon’ además de un pérfido juego de palabras con el que Ministry se burlaron de las especulaciones que circulaban en la prensa respecto a la adicción de la banda a la heroína, también fue sirvió para finalizar su relación contractual con Warner. Fue un disco homenaje al guitarrista de la banda William Tucker, que se suicidó en mayo de 1999.
Pero, además, también fue un álbum muy cinematográfico ya que dos de sus canciones se colaron en las bandas sonoras de dos películas que gozaron de gran repercusión a finales del siglo pasado. Hablamos de ‘Matrix’, en cuya BSO introdujeron “Bad Blood” -el primer single del disco-, y de ‘A.I.: Inteligencia Artificial’, donde se incluyó esta “What About Us”. La canción también fue objeto del videoclip promocional del film de Spielberg así como la banda también hizo un cameo en la propia película.

The only check that’s in the mail is prob’ly already cashed
